No. the worst thing I ever did was try to test out a theory how fast a large projectile would hit the ground from the 8th story building and how loud would be the 'boom'.. We were learning about objects hitting the ground from a higher level does more damage, gathering momentum. I was only 14. So after school let out my friend and I shot a couple of large water filled balloons from the roof of our Yeshiva*. I did not know anyone was still in the building. As luck would have it, the school's spiritual leader (Rabbi) was leaving the building at the time. He was a very respected teacher and scholar. He was attired as most of the males were in that neighborhood: The beard, the Peyot**, the Shtramel*** all intact. Then my water balloon got him squarely on the head.. Everything flew, the shtramel, the peyot got soaked and there was a small red welt on his cheek. He was soaked. Needless to say I expected solitary confinement or some sort of exile to a prison of hard labor. I did get suspended for 3 days. Nothing else happened. But I did prove that theory that projectiles dropped from high places can do a lot of damage. A very lot of damage especially when they fall on 'holy' people, that don't enjoy looked like a soaked mink. *very strict parochial school you don't want to inflict on young children. **peyot, little side curls the chassidic jew wears near his ears, again not for the 'mod' jews in Boca. ***Shtramel A head covering consisting of a velvetlike skullcap, surrounded by about 9 inches in diameter of fur (somewhat like a Boca Society lady would wear without the skullcap) So no, Lee, I never smoked, ever.. nor do I drink except expensive champaigne once in a while (just tastes better than Manischewitz passover seder wine).
