Or like me- and heck me don't beat up on people who don't deserve it. And we are fair game for being such outspoken (and at times insulting) individuals. But people who aren't like us really shouldn't be treated like us.

If I criticize something in such a way that it reflects on those who disagree, it becomes personal, and that is why I think that a bad reaction was natural. If it is obvious that Reagan is an empty suit, than we who admire him are either idiots, or, though intelligent enough, blinded by a will to believe. Either way, we are either too stupid to take seriously in an argument, or we can be dismissed for engaging in special pleading. I believe that that was the tone of the other side.....If I am mistaken, I apologize in advance, but that is how it struck me....
