Atlanta-based personal computer manufacturer, sTupidPC (OTC BB: STPX - news), today introduced the AlluNeedPC program, the first all-inclusive computer/Internet Access/training package in the market.
The AlluNeedPC will include Internet access from MindSpring Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: MSPG - news), a leading national Internet Service Provider. Addressing the main issues consumers face when choosing a new computer, sTupidPC's AlluNeedPC will include free delivery, setup, orientation, extensive in-home training, and it comes bundled with three years of Internet access service from MindSpring -- all for only $39 per month with a $99 down payment.
Bart Brannon, President/CEO of sTupidPC says, ''This complete computer system solves the three main obstacles faced by the new computer buyer: price, training and fear. By combining MindSpring's award-winning Internet service, software and support, with training from Spire and Compu-Ed 2000, the AlluNeedPC gives folks everything they need to be connected for only $39 per month.''
The AlluNeedPC is built around AMD's K6-2/400Mhz processor and includes a 6.4GB hard drive, 32MB RAM, 40X CD Drive, 56K v.90 modem, Speakers, 15'' monitor and Microsoft Windows98 operating system. The whole package is delivered and setup (metro Atlanta only for now) at the consumer's home by a sTupidPC Geeky Delivery Person (sic) who trains consumers on how to use a computer and the Internet. In addition, each system comes with a coupon for a free, instructor-led training course on basic computing skills from Compu-Ed 2000 and iLearn interactive computer-based software from Spire.
''Consumers are now buying computers just to get online and sTupidPC's AlluNeedPC provides a fun and simple way to get started using the Internet,'' said Lance Weatherby, MindSpring's Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. ''MindSpring was founded with the goal of making it as easy as possible for people to get on the Web and bundling our services with sTupidPC's products helps us bring a better Internet experience to a larger audience.''
