Ben,

I agree that corporate america has been getting ready. They are mostly in test mode today and should be buying only to fix problems found during this testing in the 4th quarter. I don't think many have been upgrading software for new functionality. They will be keeping these systems stable for at least a quarter or what ever the corporate cycle is to ensure 99.999% of all software has been executed.

I also suspect corporate america has purchased a fair amount of equipment to do this testing and will have plenty of hardware on the shelf unless they were leasing the test systems. Both should be a problem for the box makers. BTW, I also think they will keep their networks stable. I have information from a few companies that are finding problems with this part of their system and will be careful adding new network functions.

This is only a guess on my part, but I have a fair amount of experience in this area of freezing systems.
