Well, keep in mind that just as the states do not like to be ruled by a dynasty, they do not like to be ruled by "big brother" New Delhi either, i.e. whichever national party happens to be the leader of the coalition.

It is because of this trend that I think the nationalist "one nation, one religion, one language" parties like the BJP too are on their way out. They may make their exit a decade after the dynasty did, but make their exit they will. It will be hard on them though -- all that daydreaming about "Akhand Bhaarat" would have gone up in smoke!<g>
