Bill,

I think whether or not Intel behaves rationally will be predicated largely the upcoming earnings report. Better the expected earnings might give them license to start cutting prices on high end product. On the other hand another negative earnings surprise may put the brakes on anything other then normal price cuts-new product in, old product out. I also don't think that Intel will be predisposed to drastic price cutting for the lucrative Xmas season. After all even Jerry said that at the most only 800k Athlons would be sold using the best case scenario. Why should they give up millions in profits to prevent those sales. AMD will sell what their going to sell no matter what the price.

Let's just hope that Intel see's it the same way.
