Congress' dubious claim to 'stability' ---Discuss it right here. Congress party has been harping on the stability of its governments when in power. Kapil Sibal conveniently chooses to ignore the fact that Congress has been responsible for the fall of almost all the governments at the Centre. Probably the party thinks the people of India suffer from collective amnesia. What do you say? Harping on Stability Congress party has been trying to make stability its main election plank. The Congress party has been solely responsible for the fall of various governments.We are still quite unclear why the Deve Gowda government was brought down, and then Gujral was propped up. The only reason has been political expediency and convenience. Its official spokesman Kapil Sibal, says that Congress is the only party which can render a stable government. Is it that the experience of coalition governance has left people with fatigue and Congress party is only trying to capitalise on it?
