It depends on what price they were to pay, if they were to buy Excite.

I own a diamond mine stock that is trading at .10 a share. There are 100 million shares outstanding. I don't want a stock split with these guys. If AOL can add serious value to its operations, whats a few billion shares between friends?

Just for the record....with which Internet company are you the CEO of?

You seem so knowledgeable about their issuing new shares as well as how this will affect valuations in the eyes of their investors, before the company itself has aired it's reasons.

If you think a fundamental valuation argument is going to make any difference in the mind of the investors on this message board that have just watched AOL's price go from $175 to $80 and back to $120 you are in for a lame battle but I wish you well in your efforts.
