Titan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Calls for Redemption of Its Class A Warrants

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 1999--Titan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AMEX: TTP, TTP:WS) today announced that it has called for redemption of its outstanding class A warrants, at a price of $.05 per warrant. Each class A warrant is exercisable prior to 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time), on November 19, 1999, for one share of Titan's Common Stock at an exercise price of $6.02. After 5:00 p.m. on that date, the class A warrants will no longer be exercisable, and holders will have the right to receive only the redemption price.

The Company has retained Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown as its financial advisor in connection with redemption of the class A warrants.
