Issuing more shares does not change the value of AOL, therefore does not give them any more or any less funny money in which to do a deal. Shares are just equity slivers of a whole pie. Cutting the pie into sixteen parts instead of eight parts does not make you any more full, or give you more pie to deal with.

A question for everyone on the thread (assum greeting that you are AOL users). How do you think the AOL constituency would take having a web based Office suite of software available off of AOL greet such an offering if it were available next week? The ability to save files to the server, use it from any machine, etc., totally independant of MSFT and the OS.
