Since "think tanks" are little more than agglomerations of bureaucratic idiots, there are plenty of them in India.

And of course, India also has a lot of stink tanks!<g>

In India every one thinks that he (she) is a think tank unto himself. U R right. And that is funny. But I thought that somebody inside DELLI BELLY (in Delhi) studies developing societies. He should have some idea as to how this proliferation of regional parties could be effectively stopped & amalgamated into major parties. Alliance is one way of amalgamation of disparate elements, if U can call it. My feeling is that caste, religion, & language are major factors coming in the way of unifying people and parties. That BJP has managed to bring all these disparate elements into its fold better than congress, is hope enough for the future.
