I am not sure if what you say is true. That ATHM can't grow without AOL's help as fast as it could on it's own. Look at what Paul Allen is doing with GNET HSAC and Charter. He is tailoring the GNET portal to support broadband applications and will use HSAC and Charter as the delivery pipe. It's the vision thing that is hurting the T/EXCT/ATHM combo.
