I disagree - even as I respect your opinion. The reason I disagree is because I believe each of us has a responsibility to not take remarks such as hers personally. I judge them to be "in bounds". This is the flipside of my libertarian leanings ... I expect self-discipline of my fellow citizens. (Conversely it would be "in bounds" for you to judge her remarks to be "out of bounds" ... and it would be "in bounds" for me to dissent ... Recursive logic, dont'cha LOVE it?) But this is the way I feel and I recognize that this is my ethic, not necessarily anyone else's ... it is not an aesthetic I can or would impose on others. (Well ... if I could I would. heehee)
