I don't know where you picked that up from. Re-read my posting and there is no reference to "fear". It must be your projection. So you live in fear so you will insist on the worldwide freedom to explode nuclear warheads, free-for-all everything goes, we've got more than anybody else, our cold war was solved so we needn't pay heed to anybody. And that will soothe your fear? The reactionary republicanisms need to crawl back from whence they come, and maybe the party can survive. Otherwise it will just be Buchanon who stays. The dittoheads have brought the public debate to its basest form and the republicans in office that have bought into it will destroy any shred of credibility the party has left. Speaking of Buchannon, I find it quite comical that republican "leaders" are purging him after coming to the conclusion that he has certain, shall we say, unacceptable views? His poisonous rhetoric of a "culture war" etc. is code for the Great White Way, and everyone knew it then, just when it takes that one last baby step they jump all over the guy. But I digressed, we were speaking of the Cold War advocates. Yes it was a much simpler day when republicans were for defense and Democrats against it, eh? This looks like the last parting shot the lame duck republicans are taking to take the country down before they lose whatever grip they had for another 40 years.
