"Just why the heck would I be willing, as a shorter, to purchase such an option."

To become a stakeholder in certain of Barrick's future activities, if not in Barrick the company itself?

I was speaking of the bullion banks that loaned gold to(let's say) ABX being short.

So "they" would have a way to make a "contribution" to Clinton above those allowed by law?

Also it should be noted many of the bullion banks are also major banking forces & contain large brokerage elements. These factions are selling the idea of the "NEW PARADIGM" to the investing public, where-by they profit from P/E's & even basic bottom line profits having no relevance to tradition valuations.

If gold again regains these traditional prices are not the P/E and sky high market cap valuations of the .coms and the LIE of the "NEW PARADIGM" at risk? Can they forever state the new paradigm mantra if one side of it fails?
