The release of the Fed August notes confirmed that the Fed is on hightened "wealth effect" awareness. The release of the numbers today that consumer spending exceeded estimates by almost 50%, combined with inflationary wage numbers tomorrow might be enough to push the Fed into a tightening which would definitely be catalytic enough for a major correction. I don't like that bear flag and have taken serious precautions. I have taken profits, eliminated all margin, and wish I knew more about how to profitably play the short side.
