Peter, I've never done any PC emulation, and don't even have the software. All I do is AOL, Microsoft Office '98 applications such as Word and Powerpoint, and mess around with scanning photo's or using digital photo's, and there is all the software I need. If you need to use files from work, back and forth with PC formats, haven't really done that. I have e-mailed Microsoft word documents to a PC friend, and he can view them and use them without problems. Sorry I couldn't be more help...

You may want to wait until the fastest G4 comes out in November. It will have more digital video capabilities than the other 2. Also Orange Micro makes PC on a board that you can put in a slot. It runs PC apps faster than the PC emulation software but check the G4 compatibility first.
