Global One Unveils Global Managed Frame Relay Access Sys

NEW YORK -- Global One released its Global Managed Frame Relay Access Device, or FRAD, system.

Global One is a joint venture of Deutsche Telekom AG (DT), France Telecom (FTE) and Sprint Corp. (FON)

In a press release Thursday, Global One said the new system will enable it to run customers' voice, data and Internet protocol traffic simultaneously over its international global frame relay network.

Global One handles the management, operation and maintenance of all voice, data and multimedia elements of customers' networks.

The company said by the end of the year Global Managed FRAD will be available in 38 of the countries where global frame relay is available.

Further expansion will follow in 2000.
