Hi Phil!
I have good news and bad news regarding my pictures from MyPhotoCard.
The good news is that they came out pretty good. At least as well as they would have if I had them developed here. I am no photographer!
The bad news is that they didn't do what I had asked them to do. On the form, I checked off that I wanted one set of 24 exposure film developed and I also wanted a Kodak picture disk.
Well, I got double prints (which I did not want) and no disk!
Since they did not do the disk, I think the time frame for getting the pictures back was too long. They advertise that the film processing should only be one day. I mailed the film on Monday, 9/27- They should have received it by Thursday, 9/30 and since they didn't do the disk, it should have been developed and mailed out on Friday, 10/1. It was sent Priority Mail and postmarked on 10/6.
I tried to call the 800 number to find out about the disk, but I got the voice mail message. I will try to call again on Monday and I will also send an e-mail to the distributor.
They do say that I have a credit on my account of $2.00 (which really should be $4.00).
I guess the bottom line is, I'm not too thrilled. Someone obviously didn't follow the instructions that I had given them, and the processing took a little too long to suit me, but more than that, I was only charged $1.00 for shipping and it cost them $3.20 to send the pictures priority mail! How can they possibly make any money this way?
As far as price goes, as a customer I should be happy. I got the film developed and a free roll of film and it only cost me $6.99. I can't get that anywhere around here.
I will take some more pictures and give them another shot and see what happens.
I'm going up to New Hampshire tomorrow. I guess I'll take some pictures of the fall foliage!
Susie
