Ok, I'll defer to Tench's slide. I'm not part of the compiler team or involved with SPEC measurements (I spend my team with application optimizations - games, speech recognition, video, etc).

It doesn't say what part of SSE was used. Maybe prefetch?

Sorry if I mislead anyone. It's nice to see the compiler support more SSE. That's what it SHOULD do. Will it help AMD? Don't know...
