Dan,

I've been closely watching and dealing with this problem for some time. You can tell the difference between an internet lag and the data-source problem: if it's an internet bottleneck both T/S and MM will be behind. You can tell by comparing the time stamps and the quote times to your computer clock. If it's the usual source problem that we've been having for many months in the opening minutes of trading, MM's are fine while T/S lags a few minutes behind.

The problem described in the post from the QCharts thread that I quoted was EXACTLY the source problem.

It's complicated and not too obvious unless you've been watching it for a while like I have.

MB posted today's UU-net troubles on our news-alerts. My connection doesn't use uu-net at all so I wasn't affected, but probably many MB users were as MB likes to recommend the uu-net backbone.

Regards,
w
