Jerome, thanks for the explanation. So even the BUYER of the puts will benefit. The stocks doesn't have to be in the money [i.e. reach 25 or less] for the puts to appreciate in value.

I have a lot to learn about options.

If he is getting the 37,000 and paying 20,000, he just wants AMAT cruise along and have both expire worthless, or have AMAT drop to 35 and make a double killing
