Cactusjac: Good question you posed about gaps. A prevalent myth is that "gaps must be filled". This is nonsense. A gap that is not filled is simply an indication that the stock is very strong. Some of the best moves I've seen occur when the first (breakaway gap) is NOT filled. The stock moves up and it's common to see more gaps and they may not be filled either. I love to buy "gaps" where the stock is coming off a major bottom or coming out of a 1-2 month sideways consolidation. If the gap isn't filled after 2 or three days I'll add to my position. Look at as many daily charts as you can that exhibit gaps...and see how they do in the following days and weeks. (Lee)
