dmp: don, what can I say???? I agree!!! Sector rotation has been a brilliant insight-- brilliant because the call was made (by you) early, and it has been confirmed OVER AND OVER again.

Donald makes many good calls and this post is not intended to offend him in any way. However, I would like to point out to you that I posted my expectations starting in February and March of this year on the MDA Thread, that a correction via rotation would begin in April, long before anyone else.

I also pointed out in my updates on the original MDA Web Site, in May and June, that this rotation would continue as sentiment shifted.

It is not just sector rotation, but rotation in and out of equities falling in and out of favor as opportunity is perceived or a need for safety is perceived. This rotation has been prolonged as investors have vacillated in sentiment for months. The reality is many investors know the market is overvalued and are worried about a major decline, but they are also afraid they will miss the next big move up. Investors oscillating between fear and greed has kept this rotation going and the violability!

Regards,
LG

What kind of option plays were you doing? Long OTM calls? What time frames? I've done OK with my DELL options but not like that. Matt

Dennis,

As I have mentioned, the SECTOR ROTATION is an ANOMOLY/ABNORMALITY which will eventually get resolved/corrected. When, I dont know, but in the mean time
just play the strong and weak sectors accordingly.

My belief is that we will be able to determine the end of this anomoly of SECTOR ROTATION when the market internals significantly and consistently supports a rally. None of this stuff where the DOW is up 200 points and the ADVANCEs outnumber the DECLINES by a few hundred, or with the NEW LOWs above 100. More like the ADVANCES outnumbering the the DECLINERS by 3:1 or better, and with the NEW HIGHs near 200 and the NEW LOWs below 50.

I just feel there is too much guessing/talk/comparisons towards both CRASH/UP-CRASH.
