Steve, It looks like Dell, who's just in time model gets hurt right away, is trying to use force on Taiwanese suppliers to bring their orders to the front of the line. . Will they get Intel to carry their bat? ie co-threaten? Compaq and IBM will also wave their line jumping sticks?, as will all the other big players. The Taiwan suppliers will jump at charging them a line jumping fee, I bet. So prices will rise on small parts too? And the screwdriver shops will get to go to the end of the line. You can bet acer will not. Bill

Some people just have to learn the "hard way" ... stevie, it is a fact that AMD has already slipped their K7's at Dresden AND Motorolo is having a hard time producing the G4 CPU for Apple. Steve It appears you are right again. The stock recovered froom a low of 17 7/8 and looks like it will close around 18 1/2. Maybe it will rally next week. ted
