Monsieur le philosophe,

Add another threadite (not to be confused with Luddite) who finds your perspective trenchant, useful and seemingly on the mark.

Taking your point of view of the behavior of les grands maisons, which I tend to agree with, it seems that you are saying their technique to work the government's releases of economic information to their own (portfolio/hedging) advantage in the market is not so much what they do, in the first instance, to throw the little houses and little guys off, but what they are SAYING THEY ARE DOING, when in fact they are setting up the trend to do the exact opposite. It's a kind of "read my lips" disinformation campaign....

Agree with yours and <R> anger about the hubris of the self-appointed "saviour" of the integrity of the Yahoo and our thread. His condescending tone irritated me from the start. Then, when defending his rationale for unmasking Gregg against thread outrage here, he said Gregg had in fact dropped his cover by posting his initials at end of an EAL post. This was so and was obvious to anyone who looked at it. There was no need to dress his indulgent, petty game in garlands as it was out there for everyone to see. His arrogance, condescension and misinformed sense of self-importance have cost the thread dearly.

Q slightly up in a slightly down market. Should be an interesting day. I find it hard to believe that we could run to 210 soon, but it may happen!
