I don't object to ad hominem attacks since I make them- I only object when they are directed against people who don't make them. There aren't many here who don't make them.

This may be a good time to work on your understanding of the meaning of "ad hominem", Neo. To say that someone's argument is absurd is not an ad hominem attack. It's attacking an argument, not a person. The person makes the argument, but the person is not the argument.

Lather gave an example from the Bible earlier this week, "love the sinner, but hate the sin." If you attack the sinner, that's ad hominem. If you attack the sin, it's not.
