Gary,

Here are a few possibilities based on volumes and using
Q2's 43 cents as a starting point. Remember that Q2's earnings
were expected to be the peak in terms of operating margin.
So the numbers below are likely a few pennies too high.

Q3 vs Q2 Q3 EPS?
OTC volumes -33% $0.29
NITE's Autex Nasdaq vols -16.5% $0.36
BBRS's est of NITE's vol -20% $0.34 (BBRS est. is $0.23)
ML's est of NITE's vol -21% $0.34 (ML est. is $0.35)

ML's mid-Sept numbers assumed a sequential improvement in rev/trade.
BBRS's 10/4 rev/trade numbers assume a -20% change vs Q2 and -28%
vs Q1. Q3 volumes referenced above were above Q1 levels when EPS
was $0.34.

Of interest to the thread is that MLCO was buying the stock virtually all day. Quite the turnaround from a few weeks ago. If they were shorting then, perhaps this is a bit of covering.
