Mark, Just another day in PC land; Dell warns, component price increases (DRAM, darn it, not drives, who wouda thunk it?) will hurt margins: dailynews.yahoo.com Their model is great when prices are falling, but not so great when they're rising. No protection, though their sizes gives them some obvious clout. People on the Kahuna thread who have been buying puts or shorting Dell for years now (those who are left) are finally getting to chortle a little, and are taking some advantage of the opportunity. Could be an ugly day tomorrow, especially if the CPI number is bad. I'm losing money--as usual, I could never go completely into cash, I don't have that high a regard for my own predictions on the market--but have a high enough cash position that I don't really mind a swoon right now. I'm still waiting for some serious bargains to appear before buying anything. Could be a great tax season this year.
