Hi Dave B; Re the evolutionary approach, and those glass half empty versus glass half full psychology tendencies... I find that Rambus looks better after several glass fully emptied. In fact, heavy drinking makes me feel like chasing after pots of gold too. Seriously, what does this rumor about Intel delaying Camino until 1Q00 mean? Are they talking about shipping Camino as late as March? I think that what the rumor really suggests is that Intel is spinning Camino, and the industry is therefore waiting for a chip turn around. Of course, I have no idea whether the rumor is true or not. But it is consistent with the memory makers converting their lines back to SDRAM. If Intel told their customers that things would ship in October, I would guess that box makers would still be taking RDRAM, and the memory makers would still be pumping it out. This is a product that was on allocation just a little while ago, but is now in glut. -- Carl
