Please read the post- lots of people in support positions are ACTUALLY classified as being in combat. For example they get combat pay. Second I agree that supply lines are critical- did I say they weren't. I said I thought no one was indispensable. It was kind of a joke. But armies need to eat and be supplied. I do not think war movies are particularly indispensable. And I do not think stateside positions can compare to combat positions, in general, I am sure there were a few cushy billets overseas, but in general...
