Some Indian voters may be illiterate, but are very intelligent, pragmatic and perceptive in their voting pattern. They kicked out Laloo Prasad Yadav and humiliated NPP for non-performance. They also rewarded TDP and Chandrababu Naidu for providing goods and services. Naidu seems to be the centerpiece of the allies in this coalition and is perceived as a stable man to stand behind Vajpayee, as compared to the bygone FAT MAMMA. The one I most appreciate is the Dalit-based Bahujan Samaj Party who scored 14, which is a rise from 5 in the past elections, and who fielded candidates across religious and caste spectrum ----muslims-Middle class-upper class. BSP seems to be a party to be most congratulated for its new ideas. It is representation that matters and not caste or religion. I personally feel & see that Indian electorate are more sophisticated than we give them credit to.
