Sort of OT, re TIVO: Just happened to catch Regis Philbin & his wife (co-hosting his morning show today) spend about 10 minutes talking about TIVO. Regis made lots of jokes about his problems with technology -- that he can't program a VCR, and also couldn't understand the instructions someone gave him explaining how to use TIVO. Pretty funny, actually. But the bottom-line is that they had the system actually installed in their home yesterday -- and although it wound up recording the WRONG program for some as-yet-unclear reason (either human error or a cable-system problem), his wife thinks it's a great device (and explained basically how it works). The point (I actually DO have one...) being that lots of people who've never heard of TIVO before may just have had their first exposure to it, courtesy of Regis... Vagabond
