Golly, I sure feel dumb, but here's what I see in the "Top Developers" table:

From August to September, 1999, Apache went from 3928112 to 4078326, an increase (if my calculator is correct) of 150112.

During that same period, Microsoft went from 1556956 to 1632440, an increase (same caveat) of 75484.

In other words, Apache is adding servers at about twice the rate of Microsoft.

That hardly "says MSFT is doing better than everybody else" as you asserted in your earlier post.

Netscape's numbers: 531714 to 557498; delta = 25784. BTW, I suspect these are generally bigger sites than the IIS sites (consider the price of IIS vs. that of Netscape), but data by site size isn't in the table.

Now, what was your agenda?
