They're taking down the entire chip sector based on a couple of things.

1) DRAM prices
2) HI/fn debacle
3) SSB report on VTSS and PMCS

So...good stocks are getting shot with stocks of "news" based on weak or even peer association.

I'd think about adding to your positions in some of these that you've wanted to own, but didn't want to chase. There's no reason AMCC is down 14% today. Just guilt by association

AMCC going down with PMCS and VTSS. TXN rightly or wrongly, getting clipped because of it weak association with MU and DRAM.

2 days ago the SOX was at 555. Now at 510. 10% haircut in 2 days. In 2 days, it will be right back up. Think trading here, or if you're really a glutton for punishment, watch them tick-by-tick even though they're long-term investments <G>.
