Still the odds of getting burnt on the VSE are far greater than on the TSE. The NASDAQ is the VSE of the USA.

Yes any shuckster can be on any market but the TSE committees work very hard to eliminate any fraudsters from its territory. Any and all directors of any firm making application to the TSE for trading are checked out vigourously. They make every attempt to keep the TSE as a very respected and reputable exchange. Ontex in its attempts to be listed on Toronto have gone through a number of listing requirements to make the grade. They send geologists to the properties, they research each and every director and also look for any conflicts of interest that may arise and want them addressed before listing.
Its not a simple matter to be listed there. Through there efforts the TSE has changed its image over the years and for the most part have done a good job.
