So Samsung and DSP will not be the only competition. Also, I'm still not clear as to what CDMA Samsung has developed that chip for. 3G is for all wireless, fixed and mobile.

Hmmm....I dont think that Samsung specified anywhere but this press release really seems to imply that it is for 1xrtt.

Eventually though I think that TXN will be Qualcomm's primary competitor....They have a VERY close relationship with Nokia, and also ERICY to a lesser extent. I know that many on this thread believe that a run-up to about 1000 is almost pre-ordained....but there is still substantial execution risk involved with Qualcomm. All in IMO....
