IMHO, the Labor statistics have been worthless at least as long as Clinton's been in office. When big corporations had massive layoffs, the BLS just said that was good, as it created more entrepreneurial type jobs (in companies that were, conveniently, too small to have to report). The BLS, IMHO, puts out whatever numbers the Street wants to read.

Thanks for the link, Les. There seems to be an increasing number of folks that have little, if any, confidence in the numbers the BLS is generating. Should be good for stocks, as all data can be viewed (spun) as positives. <g>
