The FUNCTIONAL chewing gum market is an innovative means for drug delivery. Gary is the world specialist in gum formulation and it would not suprise me to see other 'joint ventures' to form in years to come with well recognized big pharma. Precisely. The very thing that attracted me to this company was the drug delivery potential. I have a diabetic daughter. Someday insulin may be effectively absorbed via gum in lieu of the shot(for children and adults alike). My 80 year old father owns thousands of shares of GUMM and believes that many medications that he cannot take because of his sensitive stomach will be deliverable via gum (he still has his original teeth :^) ).... Sublingual adsorption makes this possible. Some 90% of medication gets to the bloodstream quickly through this process versus less than half (and far slower) via the pill. There are an infinite number of possibilities. Someday, a large pharma will find this company too irresistible to pass up..... I hope that will be many splits and several years from now.
