Interesting comments today from ERICY (excerpt)> (Focus on the word "quickly" in the last sentence)

ERICSSON AIMS FOR NO 2 SPOT IN UNITED STATES
Ericsson will gain access to the CDMA mobile standard, popular in the United States, through its purchase early this year of U.S. Qualcomm's (NasdaqNM:QCOM - news) mobile infrastructure unit, allowing it launch CDMA handsets there in mid-2000.
It is already strong in the United States in the other mobile standards such as TDMA and American GSM.
Siberg said Ericsson's U.S. market share depended on the different mobile phone standards being used, with some market shares above 30 percent, like GSM and Digital AMPS.
``We are going to grow (there),' Siberg said. ``We've dropped to a sort of third position and we want to get back into the second seat quickly.'
