AirTran Airways Reports November 1999 Traffic - Traffic Up 15 Percent Versus Same Month Last Year

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 1999--AirTran Airways (Nasdaq:AAIR, news, msgs) today reported a 65.8 percent load factor for the month of November, up 6.8 points from a year ago. Traffic grew by 15.5 percent versus November 1998, on 3.6 percent more capacity. Year-to-date, traffic has grown by 7.0 percent on a 0.1 percent increase in capacity.

"We are very pleased with our November performance, both in terms of the continued growth in traffic as we expand capacity, and with the service our employees provide to customers in terms of reliability and on-time performance," said Robert Fornaro, AirTran's president. "We have recorded increases in load factor, traffic and passenger enplanements every month this year and look forward to continued strength in December."
