OT sort-of

ATHM will be losing money for a number of years IMO
Wrong. @HOME expects to show a profit as early as the end of this year. Next year is certain.

BB wireless will explode over the next few years. Wireless BB has severe limitations that will make it an alsoran in to the home transmission, suitable for the remote areas where fiber cannot reach it. Advances in fiber transmission will far outwiegh any wireless in the next decade. ie. Solitons. Once again, run out of bandwidth on fiber, lay more fiber. Run out of bandwidth on wireless, tough.

AOL dominates in every aspect: revenues, profits, e-commerce, subscribers and you ain't seen anything yet I one hundred percent agree with you. Trouble is, you don't seem to understand that AOL and @HOME are not in the exact same business. Thats why the market values @Home's subscribers higher than it values AOL's.
AOL 132 billion/18 mil subs = 7333 per sub
ATHM 16 billion/1 mill subs = 16000 per sub

You talk about who needs who, think of it this way. If AOL were to vanish of the face of the planet, @HOME would not be in any greater position than it is today. 5 years from now yes they would, but not now. If @HOME were to vanish and T was looking, AOL would have a HUGE gain in its potential value. So.. who needs who?

I like AOL, I like Case. He sees my position. 2 Years ago he thought the way you did (that t and @HOME needed him), when he could of been in Cable relatively cheaply. Now he realizes that he needs cable. Its going to cost him more, but it will be worth it. If you doubt this, I suggest you read firenza's post again.

Good luck to both of us, because I am long on AOL too.
