Dear CK: Interesting that Christ is also painted in the most complimentary of image. The scripture says that Christ was uncomely. I feel that is why ( one reason ) when John saw Christ in Heaven in Revelation he fell on his face as dead. John was saying , in so many words, blow me over with a feather. Ah. To see Him as He is , now, and that is how He shall return. But seriously, you missed my point. I was responding to J-14. You see I do not take seriously the statement yes I know the Lord. The bigger picture is does Christ know J-14. A Man can draw a picture of Christ. That is not the answer to salvation. The answer of salvation depends on the picture that Christ draws of the same man. The #1 objection or rebuttal of an effort to win a soul to Christ is . Yes. I believe the gospel. Yes. I believe in Christ. It is not the sincerity of the belief that saves it is the object of faith. It is of utmost importance that the person believe in the correct doctrine. You see that is the real reason J-14 , IMO, started this thread. He is searching for the correct doctrine. Does it matter. Well does it matter if the wire you are walking across the Niagra Falls on is made of high tensile steel or brittle plastic. Both may look as strong but will both accomplish the same fate..
