I post this here for those interested. I think if you follow some of the conversation on these chip threads, you'll find that this is exactly what I and others said was said this morning when this "s..t hit the fan".... PS: Frankly, those that know this industry or have seen the note from SSB know that they (SSB) were speculating about VTSS and PMCS business... The "semi engines of growth" defense starts... ________ 15:33 ET Hi/fn Fallout : --Update-- Banc of America Securities argues in its midday note that Lucent's (LU) semiconductor cutbacks are specific to HIFN (-34 3/4). The firm specifically defends CNXT (-4 7/8). Other stocks that have been hurt by the HIFN connection were VTSS -1 3/4 and PMCS -8 7/16, though these stocks were not specifically mentioned in the note.
