Adam, I am not sure if they do that. From my own experience you either contract for an amount per month as far ahead as you see fit and they quote you a firm price, which declines along the historic RAM declining price path, or you take your chances and buy spot. For the past few years spot has been lower than contract and spot buyers gain. Recently spot has more than doubled and contract buyers pay whatever they agreed to pay. It is like natural gas or heating oil contracts(both of which have a commodity market)
