Doc,

You were setting yourself up to be a hero or a goat. This time, it's goat...don't worry, it was a compelling "buy the dip" opportunity except that there was something fundamentally fishy....it's called (as you probably already know from B.com...) SELECTIVE DISCLOSURE on HI/fn's part.

That was a nasty crash with previously submerged data from the company. (Just like the iceberg was nasty to the Titanic...). They've got 3 problems now:

1) Possible Lawsuits
2) Loss of confidence (WS hates to be blindsided...and they were)
3) A long time to return to credibility and return the stock to it's glory days.

That's a constant reminder of how important it is to have a management team that communicates regularly with analysts. These guys can many times work their magic to extricate or at least mitigate companies from these implosions.

Imagine how stupid those guys at BBRS look now. The make a call to their salesforce, it gets mixed up by the media, it croaks the stock, then it gets re-issued and spun with a glowing web of fine things to say..., the stock gets halted, and ...lo and behold:

There really was something wrong.

That BBRS analyst must be absolutely livid.

All the best,

Steve
