Huh, interesting. Well, I didn't see any notices of a HALT, but the yahoo-ligans were talking about it like it was common knowledge. They even discussed the merits of the halt, vis-a-vis would they halt if it shot up five points, etc.

Anyway, who knows. I have trouble believing that ANF will miss this quarter, since the reports just a month ago indicated they were one of the few retailers really booming with back to school.

We'll see, but I am sure that if ANF does miss I will likely sell, since I will be convinced that management doesn't know how to communicate properly with the street. You don't encourage analysts to open with buys and strong buys and targets of 52 when you know you same-store sales are weak. Ignorance or maleficence, either is a reason to sell when it comes to management's guidance with earnings.
