Vixl.....VIXEL LOGIC
The Bothell, Washington-based Vixel develops SAN
solutions that use Fibre Channel technology, which
facilitates faster data transmissions between computers
and storage devices.

The company reported 1998 revenues of $39.4
million, up 73.1 percent from a year earlier. Vixel ships
to more than 30 equipment manufacturers and
resellers, representing an installed base of more than
half a million Fibre Channel ports. Companies such as
Compaq Computer (NYSE: CPQ), Hewlett-Packard
(NYSE: HWP), IBM (NYSE: IBM), and Sun
Microsystems (Nasdaq: SUNW) use Vixel's products.
Sun Microsystems alone represented about 54 percent
of Vixel's 1998 total sales.

Mr. DeGraw likes Vixel's prospects. "Modern
e-commerce is calling for continuous access to high
volumes of data from multiple networks and Web
sites," he wrote in a recent report. "Vixel provides an
alternative. Instead of restricting data access to what is
known as captive servers, its products allow any
server to access any data storage device across any
network."

He expects the IPO to end its first day up 90 percent
or more, "followed by some modest near-term
aftermarket appreciation."

If Mr. DeGraw and history proves right, Vixel is
headed for our Hall of Fame.

Nok - is it a huge psychological lift to see the experienced gemmers (and those gemmers trading big $) trade 50 shares - i sit here and think you can only make money if you trade 500 - 1000 or 2000 shares! - you have to start somewhere and build up the funds little by little and by doing it smart - no big bets and no gambling - thanks for sharing everyone - Connor26
