With multiple E*Trade accounts, do you have them all linked to one account? Are you switching accounts within the IOI window to enter orders for each account? Have you ever heard of E*Trade looking at all linked accounts as "one" account for IPO allocations?

Just got alert r.e. commission rebates...had wondered about the tax consequences.....below: the fine print:

"NOTE: IRS regulations require E*TRADE to report commission rebates for non-retirement accounts in excess of $600 per year as miscellaneous income on a 1099-MISC form, subjecting them to income tax. However, we will continue to report the full original pre-rebate commission for each transaction."
