Hayduke:

One of two possibilities:

1. Broker was hired to do an underwriting of some sort by TXN, and therefore can no longer comment.

2. Broker has lost analyst coverage. (Analyst left)

Given that they mentioned "regulations", I'd bet on option one.

Charlie

In addition to what Charlie said, another possibility is that TXN is making another acquisition and the brokerage firm in question is involved in the DD.

Just my two cents,
Pat

HayDuke,re:"Clue". I get it. TXN will split 5 for 1 citing extreme optimism about its' own future. Reliable but
unidentifiable source raise TXN's target price to $2000
citing relationship of TI's business with 'E-tailer'
type and has to be valued as such under amazon's
'new metric'.

Hayduke,Your report hasn't hit the street YET. Its'
going to be an ugly day, if there is any shorts here.

My feeling is 'BLOCKBUSTER' news. Somekind of 'longterm'
relationship with a major manufacturer, like the one
providing IBM's ADSL modem.
